Waking Nights - 12 hr shifts

Our client is currently looking for temporary Support Workers, to support adults with learning difficulties in their own homes, with their personal, social and health care needs to help promote their independence.

Working closely with families, friends,and advocates of the service users, as well as other health and social care professionals, to ensure they are supported to lead the lives which they choose.

Working 1:1 with an adult with Down Syndrome, you will be supporting them overnight, assisting with some personal care and ensuring they stay safe.

There is an evening routine in place including some personal care and some gentle encouragement with dressing and bed times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing support to achieve preferred lifestyles and ambitions by following a personcentred support plan
Promoting independence
Maintain accurate and complete records
Provide support with sports activities, shopping, travel, social events, and any other independent task
Assisting with personal care: including toileting, dressing, bathing
Helping with Skin Care
Safeguarding
Assisting with moving and lifting
