ONR regulates the UK's nuclear industry.

Help us perform at our best.

The challenge
Often in the public eye, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is an evolving public corporation. Essentially, we're responsible for shaping and delivering the regulation of nuclear safety and security across the UK. It's critical work and our team requires outstanding support to give their very best.

As a Team Leader for Divisional Delivery Support (DDS), you'll help them excel in a varied role that will build your expertise.

The role
Our DDS function supports staff across ONR so they can achieve their full potential. As Team Leader in Cheltenham, you'll be part of a team of three to assist our Technical Division.

Together, you'll support over 100 Inspectors and technical colleagues, tackling diverse administrative duties so our professionals can focus on the more complex parts of their work.

Tasks could range from updating records to ensuring Inspectors have the necessary licences to visit nuclear sites.

In effect, you'll be the hub of the team, managing incoming work, allocating it and deputising for the DDS Manager in Cheltenham.

You'll also coach and train team members, create rotas and work with our Estates and Facilities Management team to organise on-site maintenance.

Although this role is based in Cheltenham, you may be required to visit ONR offices in other locations. Wherever you are, you'll strive to deliver excellent service and build great relationships.

The person
A skilled manager or senior administrator, you're organised and approachable. You prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and thrive on tackling a range of administrative challenges. With experience of providing high quality support, you communicate clearly, both in person and on paper.

If you're also IT literate with at least five GCSEs at grade A-C (or equivalent), we'd like to hear from you.

The rewards
We offer competitive salaries at the ONR, with this role attracting a salary of £27,367 - £32,360
.

Furthermore, you'll be eligible for a substantial Civil Service Pension scheme (including ill-health retirement and lump sum family benefits), and generous holiday entitlement.

About us
ONR is a Public Corporation with a mission to protect society by securing safe nuclear operations.

Our staff are drawn from a wide range of professional backgrounds with specialist inspectors to deliver our core business including civil engineering, radiological protection, human factors, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and nuclear physics.

Together they're involved in everything from assessing safety cases, inspecting nuclear sites and communicating our decisions, to training new recruits and representing the UK and ONR within the wider international nuclear community.
