Description
Pathway Navigator/Validator hours

Based across both sites of Ormskirk District General and Southport District General.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the 18 week Pathway Team, and we are looking to recruit a Band 3, Patient Pathway Navigator/Validator.

The Pathway Navigator will validate data to ensure a true representation of a patient's treatment pathway is recorded and reported.

This requires the formation of close links with Directorate teams in order to expedite patient pathways/treatment.

The Navigator is responsible for providing accurate and timely data, in order to identify patients who may breach national targets.

The primary role will be to validate the open pathways across the organisation and action as necessary in accordance with protocols.

This role is crucial in the delivery of our efficiency work and will involve close working with the CBU Directorate managers, operational service managers, medical secretaries and clinicians.

The ability to manage a very busy workload is essential, as is the ability to quickly find solutions and to identify and focus on critical issues when decision making.

Knowledge of patient pathway management is desirable as is an understanding of the electronic patient record.
