Job purpose
An exciting role has arisen for a Credit Controller at Peterborough.

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager you will be a key member of the team being responsible for some of our large customers, building strong relationships and collecting debt.


Core Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all sales ledgers across British Sugar including Sugar, Coproducts, and Bioethanol
  • Accurate allocation of receipts against the relevant sales ledger accounts
  • Contact customers when payments fall overdue to establish the reason why
  • Request proof of deliveries both through online systems and direct
  • Provide customers with copy invoices when requested
  • Investigate and resolving all invoice queries including ad hoc additional charges
  • Run credit reports for new and existing customers when required
  • Provide detailed analysis of debt to internal departments
  • Monitor and release orders from credit hold
  • Negotiate repayment plans
  • Process both ad hoc and regular statements to customers

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent grades 59(A*C)
  • At least 2 years' experience of working within an administrative team in an office environment
  • Computer literate in use of Microsoft Office with experience of using ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team and proactively alone.
