Credit Controller - Peterborough, United Kingdom - British Sugar

Job purpose
An exciting role has arisen for a Credit Controller at Peterborough.
Reporting to the Credit Control Manager you will be a key member of the team being responsible for some of our large customers, building strong relationships and collecting debt.
Core Accountabilities
- Responsible for all sales ledgers across British Sugar including Sugar, Coproducts, and Bioethanol
- Accurate allocation of receipts against the relevant sales ledger accounts
- Contact customers when payments fall overdue to establish the reason why
- Request proof of deliveries both through online systems and direct
- Provide customers with copy invoices when requested
- Investigate and resolving all invoice queries including ad hoc additional charges
- Run credit reports for new and existing customers when required
- Provide detailed analysis of debt to internal departments
- Monitor and release orders from credit hold
- Negotiate repayment plans
- Process both ad hoc and regular statements to customers
Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
- 5 GCSE's or equivalent grades 59(A*C)
- At least 2 years' experience of working within an administrative team in an office environment
- Computer literate in use of Microsoft Office with experience of using ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team and proactively alone.
