Description
Our client is a small but profitable Tech investment Fund.

They have been investing and growing for over 5 years with a solid investment (and operational) team returning (realised deals only) average 8x on an average of 3 years turnaround.

They are now looking to hire an entrepreneurial Deal Origination Principal to source acquisition opportunities (standalone and bolt-ons to existing platforms), lead management meetings, structure deals and perform due diligence on attractive acquisition opportunities.

You'll be required to closely maintain existing intermediary relationships (CF boutiques, brokers, lawyers, accountants) and build new relationships to drive deal origination.

In addition, you'll lead the effort to identify direct targets, tailor messagesand initiate contact.


The role:


As part of a small team, you will be required to roll your sleeves up and take on a broad role of responsibilities.

You'll be working closely with MDs and the management teams (for bolt-ons) to source, evaluate and close deals. They see on average 160 dealsper year with a view to closing two transactions. You will actively participate (and lead where appropriate) all management calls.

You will work in the London office 2-3 days a week, with the rest of the week to be worked remotely.


  • Minimum three years experience in investment banking, consulting, Big 4 audit/transaction services.
  • Strong operational experience within industry and/or have a strong passion for technology is a plus.
  • Proactive, independent and religiously diligent in generating deal flow
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in financial modelling
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Emotional maturity to deal with management teams
  • Being comfortable with making decisions with limited data
