The postholder will also assist the Ward Manager in the day to day management of the HealthRoster system.

This will include daily use of e-Roster to problem solve, proactively respond to staff shortages, and to arrange additional cover in the event of service need.

To assist in the smooth running of the Team by undertaking any clerical duties (typing, audio typing, filing, photocopying etc) as requested by the Ward Manager.

To process both incoming and outgoing mail, dealing with all correspondence in an appropriate and timely manner.

To register all patients onto the WCCIS System and to update the system with new data as required.

To undertake reception duties for the ward team base, acting as the first point of contact for all visitors.

The reception duties will also include receiving telephone calls, dealing with the same in an efficient manner, and ensuring that systems are adhered to for the recording of messages for members of the department.


To retrieve and return patient's records from the team's archiving systems, and requesting and logging notes from other Mental Health Units and wider hospitals within ABUHB when requested.
