Salary:

**First year: £6.40 per hour, Second year (age dependent): 18 or under

  • Remain on current salary. 18 to 20 £8.60, 21 and over £ based on current rates.**
    35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

18 month fixed term contract


As our
MIS Data Administrator Apprentice,
you
will support the MIS Directorate which includes Data, Compliance and Exams functions to ensure a flexible, efficient and effective administration relating to Data, Compliance and Exams for the College, delivering a responsive and high-quality service to all clients.


The post holder will work flexibly and support other colleagues within the department and across all sites to maintain and support other services throughout the key academic cycles of Planning, Timetabling, Enrolment and Exams.

Responsibilities of our
MIS Data Administrator Apprentice:

  • Administer, process and maintain data in a timely manner relating to company contracts and their learners, employers and funders
  • Support others in the preparation of timely submissions of error free data returns to a range of external agencies and to support audit and quality inspections (Primarily ILR)
  • To maintain a full and up to date knowledge of the PICS (Pellcomp) learner record system, reviewing release notes and responding to system changes accordingly
  • To maintain an uptodate knowledge of funding guidance and regulations including ILR and data collection requirements in order to ensure compliance with external requirements and provide advice to other staff
  • Produce a robust suite of management reports to inform company decisions and planning processes as directed by a manager
  • Assist the management team, when requested to produce reports to support business processes. (This is not an exhaustive list, but examples include, learner status, caseload, occupancy, OOF and destination reports)
  • To assist in the process of monitoring and reporting of subcontractor provision
  • To support the enrolment and onprogramme process, particularly in advising others on issues which may lead to the company becoming noncompliant
  • To assist in the development of tools and systems for quality assurance and compliance to meet the business needs
  • To prepare for, and assist in, internal and external audits relating to company contract areas
  • To internally spot check documentation to ensure it meets both compliance and company standards and expectations
  • Assist the Quality Manager with the exams process to include: qualification registrations, examination entries, booking of online exams and the ordering and tracking of exam papers using the appropriate systems and documentation
  • Process and claim for certificates within a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilising systems and software such as Quick Books, assist the Managing Director with finance processes to include processing sales invoices, paying bills, raising payments, bank reconciliation, write cheques and updating cashbooks

What we're looking for in our
MIS Data Administrator Apprentice:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths or willing to work towards
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and processes
  • Professional and responsive attitude towards colleagues and customers
  • Problem solving skills
