Global Law Firm
My client, a global law firm, is seeking to recruit an England & Wales Qualified Associate who specialises in Risk and Compliance to join them on a permanent basis in their London office, working as their new Head of Legal Risk.
Working with in a vastly experienced Risk & Compliance team with the majority of the team also based in their London office, your main responsibility is the development and implementation of the firm's risk and compliance strategy and leading the process of ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Responsible for formulating the strategy and values of the risk and compliance function
- Managing the Legal Risk Team and overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures by the Risk & Compliance Officers
- Acting as the lead counsel on all matters of risk, compliance and ethics
- Assisting the Risk & Compliance Partner, COLP and PI Partners in investigating/dealing with complaints and conduct issues when they arise
- Working with the teams Marketing and Business Development team in managing reputational risk
- Resolving escalated conflict queries
- Analysing risk and compliance data to support decision making
- many more.
- Have extensive experience within legal risk and compliance
- Be a Qualified Associate (England & Wales)
- Have detailed knowledge of the SRA Handbook
- Have experience of providing training and dealing with complaints
- Be confident in advising at Board level
- Have experience making commercial business decisions
