Working within our Water Treatment department (Ground Reservoirs & Booster), you have the chance to join the team as an Operator operating the treatment works, including Raw Water Sources, through plant processes (Biological and chemical treatment) and potentially Distribution Service Reservoirs.


Your role will be to produce drinking water to high quality standards for our customers in the most cost efficient and safe manner.

You will work alongside a dedicated maintenance team, process team and local management team using control platforms such as SCADA and PRISM to operate the works.

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

  • In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
  • Operate ground water treatment works (WTW, distribution service reservoirs (DSR) and distribution booster stations (DBS) associated assets
  • Maintain & improve site standards/ identify Health and Safety improvements.
  • Operate the assets under your control to ensure that all quality and quantity limits are met.
  • Participate in an out of hours standby rota
  • Ensure the Health & Safety of yourself, colleagues, visitors and members of the public is maintained at all times
  • Ensure sites are operated at a minimum cost in an energy efficient way.
  • Comply with statutory, company policies and procedures.
  • Operate the assets under your control to ensure that there is no adverse impact on the environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


We are looking for excellent organisation skills and be efficient with the capability of completing a number of tasks at once whilst working well under pressure will be beneficial.

Having experience in Water Treatment Process would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence would be required for the role.
