We are currently working with a world class specialist vehicle manufacturer who are developing a full range of EV Vehicles in the recruitment of a Lead Engineer - Closures & Mechanisms.

The main responsibilities of this role will be to support the advancedproduct creation team in the integration, design and development of components and systems for next generation vehicles working with all Engineering Departments.

As Lead Engineer you will be required to:

Design, develop and integrate closures and mechanisms across all areas of the new vehicle program from concept through all engineering and development phases
Lead the module team, ensuring tasks are assigned and deliverables produced to require standards and functional requirements
Create and manipulate geometry for primary communication of concepts and scheme to cross functional teams and departments during all periods of design and development
Lead PMXU generation, DFMEA & DVP creation, design surface (CAS) feasibility checks, engineering hard point development and development of scope of work for key deliverables
Lead teams in the delivery of design solutions using effective benchmarking and competitors analysis working with Studio Engineering and relevant design departments

As Lead Engineer you will have:

A relevant engineering qualification or experience in a similar role
Experience in design, developing and integrating closures and mechanisms within new vehicle platforms having the ability to mentor teams while liaising with cross functional teams to successfully delivery projects within time and budgetary constraints
