Description
Our client is looking for a Wire Rope Press Operator for permanent positions, located in Aberdeen. Working hours are Monday - Friday (8 hours per day) with overtime available.


Role
Repair wire rope sling assemblies and operate any associated equipment.


Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, repair, termination and retermination (including socketing) of wire rope slings.
  • Operation of hydraulic presses, annealing machine and cutting machines.
  • Measuring and spooling of wire ropes.
  • Manufacturing slings following the exact specifics of client supplied drawings and plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring allocated tasks are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with company procedures

Requirements:


  • Safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Communication skills written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a team and on an individual basis.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced workshop environment.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract
