  • We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Research Assistant to support the research activities relating to a research project entitled "Refugee entrepreneurship and integration: a multiple embeddedness approach" funded by the British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants Reference SRG22\ The project, led by Oxford Brookes Business School, will enhance our understanding of the experiences of Syrian refugee entrepreneurs and how entrepreneurship facilitates their integration in the UK.
  • As a Research Assistant on the project, you will work with Dr Doaa Althalathini and Dr Javier Monllor at the data analysis stage by transcribing all interviews and supporting coding and data analysis.

    It is essential that Research Assistant should be able to demonstrate all of the following as requirements of their role:
  • Experience in using appropriate research tools including interviews
  • Strong analytical skills in qualitative and quantitative date
  • Experience in using qualitative data analysis software
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.

You should:


  • Work effectively as part of the research team
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative when required
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Good Accuracy and attention to detail.
