About the role:_

I am looking for a Kind & Supportive Teaching Assistant for a full time permanent role based in Dundry, Bristol.

You will be working 5 days a week, 8:30 - 3:30pm & will be assisting the brilliant Teacher in their delightful Reception class.

This school is a happy friendly place where they aim to help the children develop into confident individuals. This role will involve working 1:1 with the children, especially supporting those with additional needs. You will be helping them to read 1:1, reading them stories & helping with their spelling.

You will be a TA who is enthusiastic & able to encourage the children to engage in the lessons & activities.

You will help create fun & stimulating tasks for the children & aim to make their learning journey an adventure.

You may be involved in taking the children on outings off site for school trips to explore & learn about the world.

You will also be responsible for helping to supervise in break times.

It is your responsibility to help keep the children safe, you must be aware & report any safeguarding concerns to the teacher or designated safeguarding lead.

You will create a happy, safe environment in the classroom.

You role may include:

Preparing the classroom for daily activities and lessons
Supporting and managing Children who require additional help
Working 1:1 with children helping them read
Managing the children's behaviour during activities and lessons
Cleaning and tidying the classroom after the lessons
Supervising student groups during school trips
