We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled administrator to join the Student, Trainee and Placement Support Team.


Based within Royal Preston Hospital, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with relevant administrative experience to join our team.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with experience and ability to support our learners throughout the Trust.

The ability to work on your own initiative and within a team, prioritise your workload and communicate professionally with a wide range of people is
essential.


You will be responsible for coordinating the effective delivery of complex clinical educational timetables within the Medical and Surgical Divisions at LTHTr for Years 3 & 5 MBChB Undergraduate Medical Students.


You will be based within the Student, Trainee and Placement Support (STAPS) Team in G Block, Royal Preston Hospital and will be required to coordinate work based and classroom delivery timetables and programmes, working closely with the Medical and Surgical Clinical Placement Supervisors and Clinical Tutors.

You will be required to organise all resources necessary to support the streamline delivery of these educational programmes, booking resources such as teaching staff, teaching rooms etc as required.

You will act as a key link for the Student, Trainee and Placement Support Team in terms of communicating information relating to timetables in a timely and efficient manner.

  • You will have previous administrative experience and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • A high level of skill with IT, MS office and database management is essential.
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to forward plan, ensuring all placements are fully updated and prepared to take relevant year students to ensure the medical students
can achieve their aims and objectives

  • Ensure service development and delivery is at the forefront, providing high quality educational environments.
  • Ensure personal knowledge is uptodate and relevant.
  • Conform to health safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
