Purchasing/Document Control Admin - Stainless Balustrade Solutions

Job Term:
Permanent - 40 hours per week - 08:00 to 16:00

Remuneration:
£ £11.50 per hour dependent on experience


Start date:
Immediate


Stainless Balustrade Solutions are a specialist metal fabricator based in Luton who specialize in the design, production, and installation of structural and architectural metalworks.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic, detail orientated person to join our office team.

This role is office based, and your working hours would be Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00.


Responsibility and Duties

  • Dealing with suppliers directly to optimise costs.
  • Requesting and comparing quotes
  • Ordering all materials for projects; along with raising associated Purchase Orders
  • Keeping all records of ordering up to date and accurate
  • Chasing up delivery dates and deliveries for orders placed
  • Hiring equipment and transportation as necessary; and raising required Purchase Orders
  • Booking training for workshop/site employees as required
  • Managing naming/numbering compliance of CAD drawings as per SBS/Contractor requirements
  • Arranging access for designers to individual projects on Viewpoint/Aconex
  • Uploading completed drawings to Viewpoint/Aconex if appropriate
  • Tracking progress of drawings through Viewpoint/Aconex and liaising and updating with inhouse design team
  • Keeping all design and drawing trackers updated
  • Printing drawings to create hard copy packs for fabrication and installation for the workshop/site teams.

Essential

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Confident communicator; with excellent written and oral fluency in English
  • Numerically adept
  • Experienced using Microsoft Office packages

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Viewpoint for Projects (4P) and/or Aconex
  • Prior experience in a document control position
  • Previous employment in a purchasing role
