Technical Instructor (Equine)

Where you'll work:
This role is based at Greenwich Campus with some travel to the Hadlow Campus.


Your hours: 37 hours per week (worked on a shift rota basis across 7 days of the week)52 weeks per annum.


Your pay:
Spine Points 17 (£20,104 pa) to 23 (£23,198 pa)


Working within North Kent College's Equine curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as an Instructor.


Reporting to the Yard Manager, the post holder is required to provide demonstration and practical instruction in the Equine curriculum as well as provide technical assistance to the teaching staff.

The postholder will also be responsible for maintaining the equine yard including all stables to ensure that they meet the highest standards as well as present a professional image to students, parents and external stakeholders.

The role will also require the post holder to support the yard manager in the ordering and management of equipment and consumables such as feed and bedding.


To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification in related area (BHS Stage 4, HND, NVQ Level 4) or equivalent, a recognised BHS Riding Instruction qualification and a first aid certificate (or the willingness to obtain one upon appointment).

It would also be advantageous if you have practical experience in equine activities and working with young people in an education environment.
