OVERVIEW
Our client is the UK's largest provider of Clerk of Works services.

Based within our Head Office in South Yorkshire, we require an ambitious and organised individual to manage all client enquiries and potential opportunities from inception to the contractrenewal strategy stage.


You will be responsible for managing a small head office team and will introduce and implement all necessary bid procedures and processes to ensure the submission of timely, compliant and high quality winning bids.

You will be expected to have experienceof taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process to secure the future pipeline for the business whilst considering any technical and commercial risks.

The role will enable the successful applicant to be involved with many exciting, prestigious, large scale construction tenders and be part of a welcoming and professional team.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Overseeing, managing and constantly developing the bidding process for HQC.
  • Contributing to all commercial enquiries, PQQ's and tenders. Ensuring all pricing quotations are issued with appropriate Terms & Conditions
  • Responsible for the provision of resource tables, associated fees and drawdowns required for compliant proposals and also throughout live projects to support the resource team and maintain accurate contractual information.
  • Dedicate time, prior to submission where possible, to review client documentation and requirements to ensure bid response content is relevant. Overseeing the preparation of and continuous improvement of qualitative, written content.
  • Assessing and addressing the technical and commercial risks relating to the bid they are working on
  • Working with key members of the business to obtain the information required to compile the bid
  • Overseeing the compilation of company project experience credentials documents, formatted CV's capability statements and qualitative information to support bids.
  • Ensuring accurate detailed quotations in the required timescales in accordance with the customer's specific requirements.
  • Acting as point of contact for any tender queries from clients and answering their questions in a professional, timely and accurate manner
  • Check appointment documents at tender stage and orders once received to check accurate in regards to awarded projects.
  • Dedicate time to collate feedback and analyse reasoning for lost tenders. Use this information to create and implement strategy to improve success rate.
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of response templates for proposals (written and calculative).
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of a library of tender document templates and company compliance documentation to ensure a unified and consistent approach to proposals.
  • Contribution to monthly KPI's (commercial and qualitative).
  • Identify any training needs for members of the bid team.
  • Overseeing the team during the bid process and making sure deadlines are met
  • Attend quotation/contract handover meetings upon award of successful bids. Facilitate robust handover to resource team. Ensure that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties.
  • Provide support and liaise with the Marketing and Resourcing teams as appropriate
