Salary up to £36,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + excellent benefits + additional 12 flexible days on top of 25 days annual leave


Position Summary

A day in the life of a Social Media Specialist


Ultimately, you will be responsible for effectively growing our brands social media communities, across multiple platforms, supporting our overall business objectives.

You will support in shaping our social & influencer strategy, developing, and delivering social content through our in-house teams and driving world class community engagement to enhance our brand presence.


Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Deliver engaging social content that drives our brands social media equity and positive share of voice, leveraging consumer engagement opportunities online.
  • Develop and execute the social community strategy and direction, informed by the brand(s) objectives and insight, working closely with the wider Social Media teams, Consumer Engagement Services (CES) team, Brand teams, Digital & eCommerce.
  • Understand the changing consumer landscape and champion the social consumer, providing recommendations and thought leadership to the wider business.
  • Serve as the social voice for Nestlé, developing creative organic campaigns daily that really add value.
  • Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and more Responding and engaging with consumers and fans, working with Consumer Services and internal stakeholders to execute flawlessly.
  • Identify and react in a timely nature to tactical & trending opportunities.
  • Identify, engage, and nurture brand advocates and influencers. Leading paid and organic influencer campaigns with our brands using inhouse tools.
  • Support the proactive management of observed emerging issues, working closely with our Corporate Communications and Consumer Services teams to drive, shape and protect our brands and reputation.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to determine the most impactful content, including working closely with our inhouse Content Studio Team to brief paid and organic social content.
  • Report on monthly social performance to track and share key KPIs
  • Use data & insights to inform strategy
  • Support the brand teams to develop capability across all things social.

What will make you successful
We are looking for someone with a passion for social, ideally qualified to degree level.

You will have some previous work experience in this space whether that be within an agency or in-house and be able to demonstrate a strong level of paid, owned & earned social experience.

We're looking for someone who is constantly able to push our brands to innovate through great creative ideas.


You'll also:

  • Be passionate about creating engaging content that delivers for our brands.
  • Have experience of managing social communities for brands with a key focus on community engagement working across all social platforms.
  • Be familiar with trending content to understand how your brand can be involved whilst maintaining relevance to your audience.
  • Have experience in building a network of relevant influencers/brands to drive organic reach.
  • Have a proven track record of creating engaging content including copy and be able to showcase your portfolio of work during the interview process.
  • Have some experience of using the Adobe Creative suite, specifically photoshop, AfterEffects & Premiere Pro and have basic photography & videography skills


And finally, you will feel comfortable to challenge the status quo, have a real passion to learn and understand the importance of building positive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.

Coupled with this you will thrive in an environment that is often ambiguous understanding how to navigate yourself and stakeholders to positive solutions.
