The role


As part of a small team working in the SRA's Strategy and Innovation directorate, you will have an opportunity to work on a range of ambitious projects to deliver the SRA's strategic EDI priorities.

You will work with solicitors, law firms and other stakeholders, to better understand the EDI challenges facing the profession and share best practice.

You will promote awareness of our EDI work in the profession, including through events and social media.

You will work with colleagues across the business, providing expert advice and guidance on EDI matters to help us meet our public sector equality duties.

You will be able to contribute to our inclusive culture and may have an opportunity to support with our internal EDI training and policies, but this is not an HR role.

What we're looking for

  • Experience of developing and delivering creative EDI initiatives to meet the public sector equality duties and drive change in the profession
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation and best practice on EDI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of analysing and evaluating information and data and presenting written findings and formal reports
  • Ability to build good relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexibly and balance competing deadlines having regard to customers' needs and the needs of the SRA

  • The SRA is the independent regulator of solicitors and law firms in England and Wales, protecting consumers and supporting the rule of law and the administration of justice.
