This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing business here in Huntingdon.


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be an engaging communicator responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting tasks to support the business.

Position:


  • Managing all aspects of purchase ledger to include coding, posting, authorisation of invoices, weekly payment runs, liaison with Suppliers for query resolution, reconciliation to Trial Balance and adhoc reporting
  • Managing our employee expense process to include coding, posting, obtaining authorisation and checking of supporting receipts submitted via payroll
  • Managing our company credit card expenses to include coding, posting and checking of supporting receipts and reconciliation back to statements
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset register with additions and disposals and calculation/posting of depreciation and amortisation
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with monthend reporting on nominal spend and sending analysis to relevant teams
  • Daily management of the finance mailbox and resolution of incoming queries

Requirements:


  • Actively studying towards a finance qualification, AAT is preferable
  • Demonstratable experience and proficiency with MS Excel, including formulas
  • Previous experience managing all aspects of the purchase ledger
  • Inquisitive, attention to detail, and a problemsolving outlook is key
