The Client
Our client is a long-established firm of independent Chartered Surveyors based in the East Midlands.

The company provides mixed commercial, development and agricultural land and property consultancy and is a director led professional service that has developed an unrivalled reputation for delivering good, competent, and reliable advice and expertise to their loyal client base for over 30 years.


Job Role


The company is looking to appoint an efficient, articulate, pro-active and highly organised individual to join its' Commercial Team to lead on commercial property valuations including Portfolios, Investments, and Pension Funds.

It would also be beneficial if the individual has experience of negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews on behalf of commercial clients.


The
Associate Director position will provide an interesting and varied workload, which will be carried out under the direction of the Commercial Director.


The role would be suited to someone with excellent organisation, communication and computer skills with substantial commercial valuation knowledge and general professional commercial property experience.

You should have at least 5 years post qualification experience in the commercial property sector as well as excellent people skills and a desire to become part of a highly dedicated and motivated team.


You will be energetic, confidential, and capable of getting on well with the staff, tenants and clients and have excellent IT skills, good attention to detail and be able to deal with a wide variety of tasks in a timely manner.


Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • At least 5 years post qualification experience in the commercial property sector undertaking mainly commercial valuations as well as ideally some lease consultancy work.
  • A good contact base would be preferable but not essential.
  • The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
  • Capable of working as part of a team or on their own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate positively and effectively, both orally and in writing to clients, tenants, and colleagues.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are considered essential plus the ability to demonstrate an adaptability or willingness to learn the use of propertyspecific software packages and online resources.
  • The ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with high levels of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to work and a willingness to get involved and put forward ideas.
  • A positive attitude, lots of personality and acute attention to detail.
  • A full clean driving licence is considered essential.

Salary & Hours

  • Salary £50,000 £60,000 dependant on experience.
  • Car Allowance (tbc)
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Full time, 37 hours per week (9.00am 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am 5.00pm on Friday.
