Description
ELFT - Director of Adult Community Services (Bedfordshire)

We are looking for an aspirational and motivating leader to provide strategic and operational leadership and management for all adult community services across Bedfordshire.

You will be responsible for the implementation of the Trust's community health strategy with a particular focus on the delivery of integrated care, taking account of local requirements within Bedfordshire Integrated Care System and our local population.

The postholder will ensure that effective management, performance and business processes are in place and builds and sustains exemplary relationships with all external stakeholders.

As a proactive collaborator, you will maintain key partnerships with other agencies, commissioners and partners across the system.

This is a pivotal senior leadership position that is responsible for building a culture that facilitates high staff morale and excellent service user experience, developing and delivering high quality responsive services to our services users and their families and carers.

The Director of Adult Community Services for Bedfordshire will be responsible for leading and manage the service managers for each clinical area, ensuring the trust strategy for community services and information/digital innovation strategies are developed and implemented.

This is a key role in ensuring that services comply with national and local policies and communicating complex ideas at an executive level, implementing complex plans within the directorates.

Formed in April 2000, East London NHS Foundation Trust is recognised as a centre of excellence, providing community health, mental health and primary care services to a population of around a 1.8 million people across Bedfordshire, Luton, City of London, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney.

As an organisation, we foster a culture of innovation and improvement - everyone should have access to our services when they need them, and we actively seek suggestions from all on how we can improve.

As a Trust, we are extremely proud to have been rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC in 2021.

It is a very exciting time for you to come and work for us.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve, which is underpinned by our values:
We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive.

Our main priorities in delivering our vision are:
Enhancing service user satisfaction; Boosting staff satisfaction; Maintaining financial viability.

We are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues within Trust and our partner organisations.

As a compassionate healthcare leader, you will develop fair access for services to achieve real equality of opportunity in service provision and employment, ensuring involvement of users, carers and families in service planning, audit, change and delivery.

You will ensure that we embody a culture of continuous learning and improvement and actively promote the implementation and effectiveness of the Trusts Equalities policies and procedures as an ambassador for both health and employment equality.

This will encompass designing, developing and implementing programmes to enhance social inclusion for users, carers and their families.

As a champion for innovation, you will ensure that information technology is used to its fullest potential to provide management information and to inform future service delivery.

In return, you could be part of an upward journey, in which there is both permission and support to be innovative in the development of a leading Adult Community Services offering across Bedfordshire.
