£37,653 pa inc LW rising in annual increments to £38,934 pa


Fixed Term for 12 Months and Full-Time

Fixed Term for 24 Months and Full-Time
We are recruiting two fixed term Welfare Rights Caseworker contract positions. One is a fixed term post for 12 months, the other is fixed term post for 2 years.

The positions are based in Every Pound Counts, Lambeth Council's Welfare Rights Service for vulnerable residents.

The Every Pound Counts team supports ill and disabled vulnerable residents by maximising benefit entitlements.


This role requires a competent, benefit adviser who can work under pressure, manage competing deadlines and work as part of a team on their own initiative.


About the service


Benefit Advice Services are delivered through phone and face to face appointments, offered at the service base, home visits and outreach.

You with work closely with partners in Council.


About the Role


Your role will be to identify potential income maximisation and provide the support needed to get benefits correctly assessed, including assisting with appeals.

You will work in a holistic way, managing complex cases and advocating for clients across services.


The role is office-based but we are currently working a hybrid model with the opportunity for a combination of home and office-based working.

Experience needed
Experience of providing welfare benefits advice with skills in advocacy, negotiation and communication.
