Professional Services Consultant - NetApp Specialist

Two vacancies (remote / home working), have arisen with an extremely well-regarded IT Service Provider based in Central London for Professional Services Consultants.

Ideally you'll have experience working within an IT Service Provider or Managed Serviceprovider environment.

This business is fast-growing and are winning a considerable amount of new business via word-of-mouth - the team are highly capable, non-pretentious and are well-regarded among their clients.

You will be involved in the design (LLD) and implementation/deployment of technology together with the management of end-to-end projects, from conception to handover to support.

You'll take full ownership on each project and will serve as the key contact forthe customer within the business for the duration of the projects.

Role requirements:

Undertake technical reviews of the IT infrastructure of potential new clients, capturing sufficient data to enable us to bid for business accurately.
Recommend changes in the infrastructure for existing and potential new clients to meet the client needs.
Undertake the technical design for potential infrastructure changes, or other projects to enable a full costing to be undertaken.
Ensure that all projects are well planned, taking into account reasonable timescales to complete the work, contingency, risk planning, resource availability and client expectations.
Carefully plan the technical and operational aspects of agreed projects, collaborating and communicating internally and where necessary with the client to ensure that all elements of the project have been incorporated into the plan and are well understood.
Undertake technical implementation activities, either standalone for projects or as part of a team for larger projects, either on client sites or remotely from our HQ.
Act as the main point of contact with clients on designated projects to manage expectations, provide regular project reporting and to support clients in the delivery of their own responsibilities within the projects.
Following project completion, ensure that all project work is carefully and fully documented and formally handed over to the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams

Experience / Qualifications:

Strong understanding of storage/back up technologies; NetApp/MetroCluster
Understanding of Virtualisation & Hybrid Cloud technologies and concepts (VMware NSX, Dell VXRail would be highly beneficial however not necessary)
Customer facing skills ideally worked in an IT outsourcing / Consultancy environment with external customers
History of successful technical consulting and / or architecture engagements.

Paying up to 70k, depending on experience.

Must be eligible to work in the UK.
