- Encourage and support our residents to work together and articulate their needs, so we can improve and fund the services we provide to our local communities. _
About us
Established over 25 years ago, Cowley Resident Management Organisation runs a mixed tenure estate of 560 properties in South London.
We are a thriving and culturally diverse community that encourages resident participation and helps staff and residents to work together to make Cowley a better place to live.
Strategic decisions are made by a board of 15 resident directors, elected by their fellow residents, whilst Cowley RMO employs the staff team who are responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services.
It's a friendly place to work - with a committed team who enjoy seeing the difference they can make to people living in a local community, including vulnerable and older residents.
About the role
You will also provide advice and administrative support to our board of 15 resident directors, helping them navigate their legal duties and management of governance issues.
About you
We are a tenant-lead organisation, so you will need a high level of commitment as you will need to work outside normal office hours, including regular evening and occasional weekends.
It is essential that you are comfortable and confident liaising with all residents as there will be a high level of resident interaction.
Your interpersonal skills are vital, as you will need to be able to encourage and motivate residents and other colleagues.
And you will need to be able to produce suitable good quality publicity material, including making effective use of social media and our website.
Benefits
We are run by a group of 'ordinary' people whose commitment, drive and achievements are truly extraordinary.
If you can match their enthusiasm and provide them with the support they need, in addition to your salary you will receive benefits that include a 10% pension contribution, 24 days' annual leave and up to 5% PRP.
