Description

A leading house builder are looking to recruit a Design Coordinator to work from Tamworth,West Midlands.

Role:
Production of design led high quality, efficient and commercially viable sketch housing layouts.

Assist in the preparation of site viabilities for land purchase.

Organise discharge of planning conditions and section 106 obligations.

Attend meetings with council officers to resolve planning issues.

Be responsible for 7 live sites (at varying build stages).

Prepare drawing issues for tender, site and sales.

Action discharge of NHBC site conditions along with ordering SAP's, sound tests and EPC's

Production of boundary treatments, deed plans and external material specification for each development.

Collation of house type and site information for digital issue to sales and solicitors.

Appoint external landscape architects to produce plot landscaping and POS/play areas designs for planning submission.

Design show house arenas for implementation and assist in production of sales brochures.

Attend pre-start and legal set up meeting as well as meetings on site with site manager, Building Inspector and contractor to advise with construction detailing issues.

Liaise and work closely on a day to day basis with site and engineering department and other internal departments and liaise on a regular basis with solicitors, customers and external parties.

Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as having an understanding of future regulations that are coming into force

They are one of the Uk's largest home builders and sell about 5,000 homes annually at an average price of about £176,000.With a land bank of 18,000 plots with planning permission.

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Design Coordinator or Architectural Coordinator in a similar house building environment and be educated to degree level or equivalent (HND min)

Proficiencies

Experienced with the production of sketch viability layouts.

Have sound knowledge of Local and National Planning Standards and be familiar with Local Planning Authorities and their idiosyncrasies.

Capable of managing sites from inception to completion.

Experienced in dealing with council officers, site staff and customers.

Proficient in appointing and managing consultants.

Be CAD literate (Auto Cad LT 2019).

Ability to express technical information in a clear and concise manner and have sound construction knowledge and that of construction detailing.

Be fully familiar with Building Regulations and NHBC processes from commencement to CML.
