The Wolseley, the famed central London institution will launch The Wolseley City, in Autumn 2023.

Situated on King William Street just by Monument Square, the new restaurant will be much larger, offering two private dining rooms, three sweeping bar spaces and all day dining.

The role of Doorperson:


  • Greets guests in a friendly and welcoming way, offering assistance as needed.
  • Manages the flow of guests, ensuring a smooth entry and exit experience.
  • Maintains a high profile on the front door and is always being polite and helpful.
  • Cultivates and fosters relationships with our valued regular guests, ensuring a personalised and memorable experience.
  • Monitors the entrance to maintain a secure environment, reporting any suspicious activity.
  • Liaises with the reception team to understand availability and wait times.
  • Ensures that the restaurant entrance area is clean, clear, and aesthetically always pleasing.
  • Full-Time and Part-Time roles available.

We're looking for a Doorperson who**:

  • Brings prior experience in a customer-centric role.
  • Holds a SIA Door Supervisor certificate (would be beneficial but not essential as we can offer training).
  • Demonstrates warmth and authenticity when engaging with people, showcasing natural hospitality and the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life.
  • Confident giving directions either to guests or passersby and therefore knowledge of local geography, including theatres, hotels, and points of interest would be advantageous.
  • Is wellpresented with an excellent command of English.
  • Has the right to work in the UK.
Expected earnings from £15.10 per hour
