The main purpose of the role is to assist with SRUC's credit control activities across all locations in the business.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all outstanding debtors accounts and contact debtors to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Management of the unallocated cash and credits report on a weekly basis.
  • Monthly management of reports to ensure effective month end closure.
  • Deal with proforma payments
  • Ensure client information is correct / ensuring all data is recorded as per GDPR guidelines.
  • Record all communications with clients in the customer account notes
  • Resolve client disputes and answer queries
  • Send copy invoices and credit notes externally and liaise internally with SRUC client managers and staff to progress any issues which are being handled outside the Finance Department.
  • Process Direct Debit mandates issue letter to bank, input information onto CBS.
  • Run monthly client account statements.
  • Run monthly reminder letters.
  • Assist Line Manager with correspondence required for Audit Team.
  • Instruct legal proceedings to Solicitors (in conjunction with Line Manager.)
  • Reconcile accounts regularly and do the same at month end for some specific clients within the debtor's ledger.
  • Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them early of potential debtor's problems.
  • Request authority to write off bad debts, following bad debt policy and procedures
  • Liaise closely with Treasury team to ensure correct allocation of receipts and resolution of queries.
  • Liaise closely with Sales team to ensure credit authorisations are actioned.
