Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Eduacation are currently looking to recruit a specialist support assistant to working within a Pupil Referal Unit which supports students from KS3-KS4.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on job satisfaction from developing and improving confidence within students. You must be someone who can communicate effectively with students, whilst also ensuring boundaries are in place. Are you passionate, understanding, nurturing and resilient? Well this could be the role for you

You must be available Full time, Monday-Friday and available to start ASAP.


This role:

  • Must have previous experience of working within a school or skills such as a Sports Coach or Performing Arts
  • Strong understanding of behaviours that challenge, SEMH and Trauma
  • Good deescaltion techniques
  • A resilient and confident person, who will be a positive role model
  • An effective communicator and goo at building relationships
  • Reliable, consistent and committed
  • Working both on a 1:1 and small groups


To be eligible for this role you must hold a right to work in the UK, be able to provide 2 years of professional references and have an enhanced DBS on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
