Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a professional manufacturing organisation in the Bilston area who are seeking a Materials Controller to start immediately.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.


Duties and tasks will include:

  • The raising and expediting of purchase orders to meet all production build plans.
  • Chasing all overdue purchase orders
  • Maintenance of Purchase order data and orders including the cleansing or chasing of incomplete purchase orders.
  • PPI checks on purchased SKUs.
  • Investigation of all stock discrepancies and proposal of corrective actions.
  • The checking of goods on receipt to ensure product compliance and correct labelling.
  • Review shortages and take necessary actions.
  • Management of suppliers in terms of adherence to schedules, labelling, paperwork, transport etc.
  • Assisting in the management of product rejects and supplier returns.
  • Occasional holiday cover for Stores Personnel.
  • Purchasing
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Good level of literacy with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • High attention to detail
  • Good organisation skills
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing industry (furniture preferred)
  • Proficient in Excel
Parking is available


Salary:
£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
