Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Friday requires late finish 2-3 times per week pm.


The post holder will be part of the Business Support Team within East Dunbartonshire HSCP, working directly with the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team to support the service.

The post holder will be required to communicate with all users of the service.

It is essential that the post holder has excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities.

You will initially be based at Kirkintilloch for training and then based at Bishopbriggs covering across East Dun HSCP.


Essential
Experience gained within an office environment

Experience of dealing with a high volume of complex calls

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to follow protocols for work areas and contribute to review of these protocols

Ability to prioritise workload and exercise initiative

Flexible


Desirable
Keyboard skills

Experience of data input

Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in word.

Previous NHS Experience

Understanding of the function of the professions with the multi-disciplinary team.

New employees will undertake an induction/training programme. This will be a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the department and location.
