Department of Cardiology, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen.

Cardiac Physiologist

Band 5 (28,384 - £35,365 pro rata dependent upon experience). Applications for recently qualified band 5 physiologsts.

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Permanent.
Applications are invited for this permanent post based at the Cardiology department, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. We are hoping to recruit a qualified physiologist to join our busy and friendly physiology team. You will hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent), and should be keen and motivated to learn.

The department offers the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiological assessments/treatments. Echocardiography, ECG, device follow-up clinics, ambulatory monitoring and ETT are located in the main department.

There are two cardiac catheter laboratories providing angiography, PCI, pacemaker, CRT and ICD implants in addition to a range of electrophysiological procedures.

As a band 5 you will be trained up to work in the catheter labs with a view to participating in the on-call rota.

In addition to the basic skills you will bring to the department, we will offer you training in more advanced areas of technical cardiology, including cardiac devices and echocardiography.

Aberdeen is ideally located in the heart of Grampian; with the Aberdeenshire coast to the east and the Grampian Mountains to the west, it is a beautiful place to live and work.

There are a full range of leisure activities to suit all, good transport links with road, rail, air and sea.
