Claremont Senior School is looking to appoint a Learning Support assistant for the beginning of January 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The post is to support a pupil in year 12, within the classroom and 1 to 1. In addition to supporting other SEND students within the classroom context. For 25 hours per week (term time only, minimum holiday pay and INSET days). It is a fixed term contract, linked to the individual pupil. The successful applicant will work alongside the SENDCo and class teachers.

Applicants should have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths as well as a good general standard of education, with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in teaching and learning, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.

Experience of working with pupils with dyslexia and/or speech language and communication needs would be desirable.

The Nursery and the Prep School are based in St Leonards on Sea, and the Senior School is located in Bodiam, East Sussex.
