This is an exciting opportunity to join the Supervised Contact Team in Peterborough.

We offer meaningful family time for children removed from the care of their parents, considered to be in need of protection.


Family time is a deeply complex and at times problematic experience for children; whilst balanced with the need to maintain relationships with birth family, supporting these children to retain their sense of family history and identity and to create positive memories whether they are able to return to the care of their parents or not.


Our works takes place primarily within the centre on the Welland estate, however some family time does take place within the community and contact workers would need to be able to travel to facilitate this.

Contact workers contribute to the ongoing assessment of the family and incorporate life story work in their everyday practice.

We are seeking experienced and self-motivated people to join the Team.

Applicants need to have experience of working with children and be able to engage with children and parents at times of distress and heightened emotion.

The successful applicant will need excellent time management and organisational skills to manage their own workload.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for the role, as well as a basic level of IT literacy.
