We are looking for a talented Audio Production Assistant to work as an integral part of an extremely busy creative team.

The RNIB Talking Book service has been creating multi award winning Audio Books since 1935.

It continues to be at the forefront of this hugely exciting industry today, creating content for our members and external publishing partners.


You will assist in the operational efficiency of the department, in particular working with a panel of professional narrators to ensure that contracts and payments are handled in an efficient and timely manner.


With experience in a busy production environment (ideally within the creative/ media sector), you will have an appreciation of the basics of contract law and payment processing.

You'll also be prepared to work as part of a multi-skilled team to support thestudios team and provide a professional service to our members and customers.

Whilst the location of this role is flexible, the post will involve some travelling to studio locations throughout the UK.

Travelling expenses will be paid.

You'll have experience of working in a busy production environment, ideally within the creative/ media sector.

You'll be comfortable negotiating contracts with artists and agents, and managing payment issues in accordance with RNIB policy.


You'll understand the difference that the content we produce makes to our members, and the importance of never missing a deadline.

You'll enjoy speaking with customers, performers, agents and our partners from within the publishing industry. The strength of the relationships you build here will be key to your success in this role

The studios team believe passionately in the importance of making literature accessible.

When we aren't making Audio Books, we're probably listening to one (or two) whilst trying to decide what to read next.

You will have a keen interest in literature andspoken word content yourself.


You'll also thrive working in a creative environment and understand the importance of building effective working relationships across the organisation and beyond.

This role will be carried out remotely.
