LondonEnergy are currently looking to recruit a
E& I Supervisorfor our maintenance team based in Edmonton, North London.


As the
E& I Supervisor,you will lead and supervise teams of directly employed E & I Personnel and Electrical/Instrument Contractors engaged in the repair, maintenance, installation and commissioning of fixed equipment and plant associatedwith the Company's business.

As our
E& I Supervisor,you are also responsible for:

  • Identifying plant and process related problems and arrange labour and materials to carry out necessary repairs, maintenance, installation, and commissioning on all Electrical and Instrument plant.
  • Carrying out and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for a given task, and actively take part to obtain a zeroaccident culture.
  • Ensuring the Planned maintenance of equipment is carried out in accordance with the specifications of the job following manufacturers guidelines where applicable.
  • Ensuring that all plant is maintained, inspected, and tested in accordance with statutory legislation, codes and practice and recorded.
  • Providing technical support both in and out of normal hours. This may include a handson approach where necessary to ensure the safe and efficient running of the plant.
  • Assisting in setting departmental guidelines to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment working within company safety, environmental and quality policies.
  • Ensuring the completion of all relevant documentation and reports.
  • Leading and supervising the daytoday work within the E & I Department, providing technical support to all plant, equipment and personnel.
  • Coordinating/supervising Contractors in accordance with internal and external standards/legislation to ensure work meets quality and safety controls.
  • Promoting a safe working environment, generate safe systems of work and complete risk assessments.

Knowledge and Experience:


  • HNC in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of current IEE wiring regulations and P.A.T.
  • Should be familiar with a range of control systems including PLC equipment (ideally Allen Bradley), AC drives and HV equipment and distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of analysis and repair of pneumatic systems would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working within a Power Station desirable
  • Experience working within heavy duty industrial environments.
  • Significant experience supervising technically qualified and experienced craftsmen, technicians and engineers, gained in a heavy engineering environment with experience of working to tight deadlines.
