About us

LHC is a highly successful and reputable public procurement organisation working together with social landlords and public sector building owners to deliver better buildings, homes and communities throughout Great Britain.

Our current governance arrangements have been in place for over fifty years and whilst they have served LHC well in the past, the pace of growth of the LHC business requires a more agile governance structure which is representative of both current and future operations.

We are about to embark on a new phase of our spectacular development and seek an inspirational Non-Executive Chair to steward us through it.

The Chair will help to establish and lead a new LHC Board of Directors and be responsible for its overall effectiveness in directing the organisation.

The Chair will demonstrate objective judgement throughout their tenure and promote a culture of openness and debate.

In addition, the Chair will facilitate constructive Board relations and the effective contribution of all non-executive directors, and ensure that directors receive accurate, timely and clear information.
