Over the coming year, our primary goal is to drive the growth of Elliott Wood's sustainability team towards becoming the leading authority on sustainability in the built environment.

To achieve this, we are looking to grow our Sustainability team by hiring a
Sustainability Consultant / Senior Consultant.


This role is highly varied and for the right person, you will be client-facing, assist in winning work if you wish, and take ownership of your area of expertise.


To join us, we are looking for at least two years, ideally slightly more, Sustainability experience within the Built Environment.

You will have worked on embodied carbon, have experience with planning authorities delivering sustainability related reports and/or hands-on knowledge of BREEAM / WELL.


You will:


  • Be experienced in delivering lifecycle embodied carbon analysis using at least one of the GLA approved tools, ideally OneClickLCA.
  • Have experience with planning authorities delivering sustainability related reports.
  • Have a specialism in at least one area of building design / carbon reduction (e.g. materials, envelope, building services etc).
  • Be experienced with MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Have an appreciation of key carbon and material impacts and the differences between building typologies, size and location.
  • Have an understanding of policy and industry initiatives relating to net zero carbon and wider sustainability.
  • Be client facing and comfortable attending design team meetings to drive the direction of the project.
  • Be able to support the delivery of BREEAM, LEED or WELL certification.
  • Have a minimum of two years post graduate experience in the built environment.
  • Be a selfstarter and forwardthinking team player.
