Part Time Legal Counsel - Poole - Salary £75k pro rata
This role is offered on a part time basis working 21 hours per week on a hybrid working pattern. The full time salary is £75,000 based on a 37.5 hour week.

Main responsibilities:

  • Be a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders which will include sales, accounts, HR & marketing teams
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial and technology agreements, including Master Services Agreements (IT) with related Statements of Work, Sub-Contractor agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Referral Agreements and PartnerAgreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, IT and SaaS agreements and general commercial agreements
  • Review all contractual documentation and advise on legal and commercial risks
  • Identify and consult on legal risks in connection with new products
  • Resolve any issues that arise in existing relationships and deal with legal disputes and inquiries
  • Provide legal advice to the HR team
  • Provide general guidance and training on legal issues affecting the business
  • Ensure that the business is aware of relevant legislation changes
  • Other administrative tasks that may be required

Skills & experience required:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years with strong commercial experience. Experience working within the technology sector is highly desirable
  • Some experience with inhouse counsel
  • Strong experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial / technology contracts
  • Good knowledge of employment law, data privacy and company law
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
