Based in Hillington, Glasgow. APH Hydraulic Engineering Ltd. is a specialist manufacturer of custom cylinders and actuators for the Oil & Gas, Subsea, Defence & Industrial markets.


Role Description:

To carry out general labouring tasks in support of our manufacturing operation.

We are looking for an effective communicator, who can work both individually and as part of a team in a busy factory environment.


Role duties will include:


  • Forklift driving
  • Operating our bandsaw machinery
  • Assisting with goods inwards including material inspection, processing GRNs and storage
  • Assisting with goods outwards including packaging products and liaising with courier staff
  • General maintenance and housekeeping of the factory and office areas
  • Delivery/collection of products to/from both customers and suppliers
  • Providing support to stores department

Requirements:


  • Must be over the age of 25 due to vehicle insurance restrictions
  • Forklift licence
  • Driving licence
  • Able to interpret basic dimensions on technical drawings.
  • Effective team contributor
  • Working within a factory environment

Desirable skills:


  • Experience of operating bandsaws for cutting materials.
  • Filing documentation/certificates.
  • Effective team contributor
  • Inspecting incoming goods for damage

Work Location & Hours:


  • This is a fullytime staff position based at APH's manufacturing facility in Glasgow
  • Minimum of 37 hours per week. Hours are flexible, as some weekend and evening work may occasionally be required
  • Remuneration = £21,164 gross p.a. (£11.00 ph)
  • Payroll is processed on a weekly basis.

£12.75 per hour
