SEN Learning Support Assistant

Veritas are searching for experienced SEN learning support assistants to work in a special school in Edgware. You will have relevant experience and knowledge to support children with SEN and complex difficulties.

Role:

You will support children with SEN on a onetoone basis in class
Work under the supervision of the class teacher to deliver high quality teaching
Be proactive in the classroom and assist the children with their work
Interact with the children on the playground and during lessons
Assist during snack and meal times
Ensure a smooth transition between each lesson
There will be focus on assisting children with both their social and behavioural needs
Manage and deescalate behaviour

Requirements:

Previous SEN or support worker experience in an educational or health care setting is essential
Team Teach trained although training can be offered by Veritas
Safeguarding trained, training can be offered by Veritas
Be enthusiastic, hardworking, and nurturing
Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
