Team Overview:


The Data Strategy & Operations (DSO) team has evolved over recent years in response to an increasing need for the business to leverage data to advise and craft key decisions, and to identify new opportunities.

Currently there are over 150 staff within the DSO team from across four internal organisations, split between London and California, made up of high-quality BI and data professionals covering architecture and platform support, data engineering, insight reporting, predictive analytics, project/programme managers, scrum masters and product management.


DSO is uniquely positioned to take a broad perspective to find opportunities to provide holistic value to all of SIE, accelerating SIE's journey to be a more data driven company.


Role Overview:


As a member of the DSO Agile Delivery Team (ADT) you will: work across DSO to organise & facilitate planning processes and events; ensure that pertinent information is available when required; ensure administrative information required for the smooth running of the department is appropriately maintained; support teams in their use of Jira and other related tools; and generally help to keep things organised.


What you'll be doing:


  • Organising and facilitating various crossDSO planning events
  • Supporting various meetings related to planning processes & ways of working
  • Ensuring information required by DSO teams for planning purposes, is available in a timely fashion
  • Providing guidance and maintenance for the organisation of information in Confluence
  • Supporting & maintaining DSO projects in Jira, supported by the Jira IT team based in California
  • Ensuring any external initiatives/changes affecting DSO are appropriately communicated and managed
  • Supporting efforts to help teams adopt new ways of working with Jira
  • Working with teams to ensure adequate Jira data quality and create/maintain metrics from that data for consumption by the Senior Management Team
  • Working with teams to provide general DSO team support
  • Working with other members of the ADT to discover opportunities to improve ways of working
  • Assisting the Agile Delivery Manager with ad hoc tasks

  • Experience working in a role/environment where flexibility and adaptability as an individual are important
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with crosscontinent teams
  • Ability to thrive in a multifaceted environment and contribute to ongoing organisational improvements
  • Experience of managing JIRA projects
  • Experience of managing information in Confluence & Google Drive
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio)
  • Ability to be pragmatic
  • Strong work ethic with good time management and the ability to work with diverse teams
  • Motivated, organized, selfstarter with the ability to work with mínimal guidance
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail
