Job Description:

**Main Tasks & Responsibilities

To support a disabled young person to ensure their safety and wellbeing
To support with personal care needs as required, usually supporting mum with such

tasks.

To support with general care needs including supporting client in his wheelchair.
To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client's equipment and surroundings
To develop a positive relationship with the young person and his parents
To interact with the client and keep them entertained with activities they enjoy,

primarily in the home, but also in the local community including taking them out in
their wheelchair.

To accompany the client on short trips out of the house for appointments or social

activities (usually with parent or another member of the team)

Patient and cheerful
Reliable and trustworthy and selfmotivated.
Ability to use your own initiative.
Willingness to engage with a young person with communication needs.
Ability to work sensitively in a home setting respecting the client and family's right to
