**Senior HR Manager
£60k-£70k per annum
Brentwood, Essex


Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm, Hybrid **My client is seeking a Senior HR Manager to provide proactive human resources advice to a diverse client group, and to contribute to the delivery of an effective HR service across the business.


About the Role:


My client is looking to recruit a full time Senior HR Manager/Generalist for their central HR function based in Brentwood, Essex.

The role will require occasional travel to other office locations as required.

You will need to demonstrate strong commercial judgement and the ability to understand the business drivers of the company.

You will need strong technical HR skills, including experience of employee relations processes, excellent client service and relationshipmanagement skills and the ability to drive delivery of key business objectives.


Areas of Responsibility/Duties:


Strategy:

  • Feedback information from business units to help formulate HR strategy and policies.
  • Participate in and lead, where appropriate, project teams to progress group wide HR initiatives/policies, such as risk.
  • Attend regular HR meetings to ensure up to date with current team objectives and departmental plan.

Employment Relations:

  • Advise and support the Location Directors, Partners and line managers to manage the performance of their teams effectively, including advice on performance improvement tools and training opportunities. Provide coaching and mentoring as required.
  • Advise on HR policies and procedures to ensure that they are applied appropriately and support the business needs.
  • Plan and implement restructures, disciplinary, grievance and absence procedures where necessary in conjunction with Partners and line managers.
  • Work with Partners on TUPE, change management and onboarding projects.
  • Advise on retention strategies, conduct exit interviews and give appropriate feedback.

HR Analytics:

  • Gender pay gap reporting, salary benchmarking, attrition rates, etc.
  • Maximise the potential of People XD, HR system.
  • Develop reports for National Statistics returns and other Compliance requests.

Learning & Development:

  • Gain a strong understanding of the talent pool leveraging the L&D interventions.
  • Support line managers with the annual appraisal processes.

Recruitment:

  • Assist and advise on recruitment processes, including delivering required graduate recruitment.
  • Negotiate terms with agencies.
  • Conduct interviews as required, using personality profiling and specific tests, depending on the role.
  • Use system to track all recruitment and encourage all locations to utilise system.
  • Identify creative ways to attract applicants to office locations who have limited area resources.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Support Location Directors with the annual pay review process and interim pay changes to ensure robust and timely decisions are made and communicated.
  • Assist with Link interface on share dealing.

Key Skills and Knowledge:


  • Ability to write formal letters, scripts, policies and other structured communications.
  • Able to project manage and personally execute employee relations activities, restructuring, consultations, interviews.
  • Builds relationships by taking time to understand what Partners and Directors require and tailoring actions accordingly.
  • Manages communications when there are complex or conflicting expectations.
  • Identifies key issues, their causes and consequences and understands the options available.
  • Shares information and gives feedback to ensure others know what is going on/are kept informed.
  • Shares knowledge and experience with the team.

Qualification & Experience Required:


  • Strong analytical abilities required.
  • Preferably degree educated or equivalent and MCIPD qualified.
  • Experience in providing HR services in a professional, fastchanging organisation.
  • Evidence of initiating and managing projectbased work.
