Teaching Assistant (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
The Supply Room is currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join a fantastic SEN primary school.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants with a focus on
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health to work with students from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 6 in Reading (RG2).

If you have a genuine interest in supporting children with mental health difficulties and have experience in childcare, then this role may be perfect for you.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to assist in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance and encouragement
  • Assist students in developing their social and emotional skills
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:


  • Minimum Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths
  • Prior childcare experience is essential
  • Previous experience and/or a willingness to work with children with mental health difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students

Pay Rate:

We offer a competitive rate of between £82 - £95 per day based on qualifications and experience.
