As they continue to expand their operations, they are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join their team and play a pivotal, system-focused role in maintaining seamless inventory operations.
Role Overview:
As the Inventory & Supplier Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of the coordination between suppliers, inventory management, and the warehouse team.
Your role, though involving close collaboration with the warehouse, will primarily be office and system-based, leveraging your excellent IT skills to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of stock components, employing your systembased expertise.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of inventory and reconcile stock valuation monthly.
- Partner with the procurement coordinator to make informed purchasing decisions, optimising stock levels through datadriven insights.
- Utilise your negotiation skills to secure competitive prices and identify new suppliers as needed.
- Provide timely systemgenerated updates to the warehouse team regarding upcoming deliveries.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the management team, using your IT skills to streamline processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in stock control and purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional IT skills, which are vital for this primarily systembased role.
- Ability to excel in a fastpaced setting, managing pressure with poise.
- Previous exposure to highgrowth business environments is advantageous.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and familiarity with the furniture manufacturing sector.
- Possession of a CIPS qualification is a plus.
Additional Details:
- Location:
- Working Hours: You'll be expected to work 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (07:3016:30).
Measuring Success:
- Decreased instances of nonconformances from stock purchasing.
- High achievement rate (95%) for ontime goods delivery.
- Responsible management of purchasing costs to maintain budget.
- Timely completion of accurate monthly stock valuation.
