This vacancy is for a Housekeeper based at our satellite site, Centenary House, Albert Terrace Road, Sheffield S5 3BR. This is a 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday position working from 3.45pm to 7.45pm.The main duties of this role is to provide a high standard of cleanliness using modern methods and machinery.
The housekeeper role is to clean, vacuum, mop and scrub all areas of the site, which includes patient areas, including patient bedrooms and en-suites, offices, communal corridors, therapy rooms and clinic rooms including toilet areas.
To ensure all documentation is completed and any faults in machinery is reported correctly and to undertake all training as required, including updates, refreshers and all statutory and mandatory training.
Sheffield Children's is one of three independent, specialist paediatric hospitals in the country, providing dedicated healthcare for children and young people across community, mental health and acute specialist settings.

Colleagues are encouraged to join these groups and request flexible working.The main responsibilities of this job role is to provide a comprehensive cleaning service for all areas across the Becton site, this will include:
Cleaning of toilets, sinks, showers & wash hand basins
Static Mopping of floors and walls and other high surfaces
Damp mopping of floors
Wet scrubbing and suction of hard floors
Spot cleaning and shampooing of carpets
Damp dusting of all surfaces
Correct disposal of all clinical and not clinical waste including recycling
Replenishment of hand soap, toilet rolls, paper hand towels and hand sanitiser
Cleaning of all communal areas and corridors
Cleaning of tiles, paint work, mirrors and internal glass
Changing and laundering of curtains and bed linen
To monitor and requisition food stock at ward level
To ensure all paper work is carried out in conjunction with good management practices
Manage, monitor and requisition all non stock materials for their own area of work
To take responsibility for the care and cleaning of all cleaning equipment and its storage area
To attend and participate in appropriate training and all statutory and mandatory training
