Parts Coordinator / Parts Administrator

Knowsley

£30,000 per annum

40 hours per week , 25 days annual leave
We are looking for a Spare Parts Coordinator for a modern automated distribution centre.


This Spare Parts Coordinator job is based at a site in Knowsley and will let your store manager skills shine.


This is a highly structured, organised and process orientated role, requiring good IT skills, including the use of Excel, Word and Outlook and exceptional attention to detail.


The Spare Parts Coordinator will represent the company image at all times and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.


Overview of the Spare Parts Coordinator
role:

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Spare Parts Coordinator is expected to take ownership of the Stores, which includes the organisation and ordering of spare parts, conducting regular stock audits and simple budgetary control on the stores cost code.

Alongside the above, it is expected that the Maintenance planner co-ordinates the planning of PPM's in conjunction with the customer and Engineering Team Leaders.

Stores management - ensuring we have the correct spares onsite and adequate levels for the site's requirements.

Regular checks and orders are completed, whilst ensuring all orders are tracked and raised on our Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Feedback on several aspects of stores will be reported back at the daily review meeting and any concerns raised and details of actions provided.

Tooling - request quotes and place orders for additional and/or replacement tooling for engineers and the workshop

Deliveries - to be checked off against orders placed and any discrepancies reported back to the supplier

Repairs - to be logged, tagged and shipped to the correct supplier. Quotes to be requested and analysed


Budgets - ensure all purchases are recorded on the correct tracker and provide monthly reports on current spend against budgets to the site manager.

Check outstanding orders against the budget pack to identify any discrepancies and feedback.

Invoices - confirming orders have delivered correctly before authorising the invoice to be paid.

Planned Preventative Maintenance - generate, organise and input the weekly ppm plan, in line with the control room requirements.

House-keeping - to maintain the stores in keeping with our high 5S standards.


Key Responsibilities of the Spare Parts Coordinator:
Placing orders for parts

Tracking of spare parts

Creating returns for repair parts

Close control of Min/Max levels of the Stores

Checking to make sure parts are on course to be delivered on time

Planning and tracking of the Maintenance plan

Supporting the Engineering Team Leaders on the maintenance plan

Tracking, trending and reporting on specific KPI's linked to the role

Developing reports and opportunities for improvement using historical data to support with site progression

Gain reputation for rapid and effective support


Experience/Qualifications of Spare Parts Coordinator:

Experience of working in a similar role.

Good IT skills, including the use of Excel, Word and Outlook.

Strong organisational skills

Strong PC skills

Budgetary control experience

5S experience

Understanding of dealing with suppliers


Spare Parts Coordinator*:

This person should be ambitious with a strong desire to develop quickly into a key resident site position.

They will be organised with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively, have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

They will be extremely organised and be able to deal with any issues that come through to the department by resolving them diplomatically.
