Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Integrated Workforce team in South-East Wales.
You will join a team that are passionate about what they do. You'll help to deliver maintenance and capital works on NRW assets.
These assets include flood risk assets like flood embankments, and you'll be helping to keep the rivers in Mid Wales free of obstructions that can increase the risk of flooding.
You'll also work on other assets managed by NRW in forests and Nature Reserves.The ability to operate equipment such as hand-held tools, which may include chainsaws, is an important element of the role.
As part of the team, you'll take part in an incident response standby rota and provide out of hours cover.
Knowledge and experience of the following:
Relevant Operators licences for tools, machinery and plant or work towards achieving.
IOSH Working Safely.
ICT competence (Basic level)
Emergency First Aid +F.
Previous forestry, construction, agricultural, environmental or plant operators experience is desirable.
This is a physically demanding role so reasonable levels of fitness are required.
Confident working in and near water.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required for the role. GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths are essential.
Full UK driving licence ideally to include cat B + E. (trailer tow)
