Position Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps engineer to join an exciting new Space project.

The project uses an agile approach (Scrum, SAFe & DevSecOps) to solve a number of interesting problems for our clients using leading edge technologies such as bigdata, advanced analytics, machine learning and orbital dynamics.

All successful applicants must hold, or be eligible & willing to obtain, UK SC clearance with the view to progressing to higher level clearance if required.

Your future duties and responsibilities

A track record in networking, Amazon Web Services, FreeIPA, RedHat OpenShift and PostgreSQL would be desirable but not essential as training can be provided if required.

As a member of the system team you will be implementing our continuous integration andtesting pipelines and onsite / cloud solutions.

You will also provide specialist support to four scrum teams on the project including knowledge sharing and implementing best practice.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Excellent team working and communication skills are essential. The requirements, the technologies and the problems we will be solving can change at short notice.

We need engineers who are pragmatic and delivery focused, who can adapt as situations evolve, whoenjoy new experiences and always want to learn new things.

A background in physics, astrophysics or other STEM discipline is desirable but not essential.
Core Technical track record in Ansible, VMWare and Linux is key.
